About Us

Mr. Watkins graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in 2010. He completed surveying courses at Oklahoma State University in 2021. He is a Professional Land Surveyor licensed by the State of Oklahoma.

Mr. Watkins has 7 years of experience in all areas of surveying, with an emphasis on boundaries, topographic surveys, and construction staking. He purchased Porterfield Surveying, Inc. from the founder Mr. Finley Porterfield in 2019 upon Mr. Porterfield’s retirement. Prior to working for Porterfield Surveying, Jarod gained knowledge in business ownership and management. 

 Mr. Turner is the backbone of our firm and has been with us since 1980 and achieved his license in 1986. He is a Professional Land Surveyor licensed by the State of Oklahoma. 

Mr. Turner began his career as a field technician for a local civil engineering company and has progressed to become registered in his field and active in the Oklahoma Society of Land Surveyors. Through his vast experience, he has become familiar with waterline and sanitary sewer design, construction staking, preliminary design layouts, “As-built” inspection, preparing construction cost estimates and works well with clients and the public. As a Registered Surveyor, he is approached frequently by inquisitive by-standers and is able to answer the questions appropriately while keeping focused on the job at hand.

Mr. Lunday is our man in the field with over 38 years of experience in the field of Land Surveying with a broad range of knowledge in commercial and residential projects. 

Mr. Lunday joined our team at Porterfield’s in 2021. He is an efficient, reliable team player and is very knowledgeable on boundary surveys, construction staking, topographic surveys, ALTA surveys, etc. Mr. Lunday is great at adapting to various jobs each day and completes the field work in a timely manner. He understands the importance of the quality of our work and takes every effort to meet this standard.
